As the Managing Director of Community Development, you will be responsible for the direction, management, and oversight of VHFA's housing development and asset management & compliance departments.  In collaboration with Executive Management, you will lead in the development and implementation of the strategic goals and objectives of the Agency, develop and implement successful business plans for each program area of responsibility, monitor program risks and provide Agency-wide leadership. You will be part of establishing an agency-wide and specific departmental budgets. 

Key activities include: business development for rental and homeownership development loans; oversight of construction and tax credit programs; maximizing the return on capital resources; shaping financial structures of real estate deals; supporting policy and procedure development across departments; overseeing program operations; acting as a policy adviser to the Executive Director and state partners; facilitating the exchange of information and collaborative relationships among VHFA staff, management, Board, and other housing partners; and coordinating specific strategic planning efforts.
