As expected, we broke the previous attendance record for the Vermont Statewide Housing Conference yesterday. Four-hundred eighty people attended the event yesterday, breaking the previous record of 450 set in 2006.
Conference photos, speeches online
We've made available some materials from yesterday's Vermont Statewide Housing Conference.
Out of the nearly 400 photos we shot at the event, we've selected about 60 and placed them on the conference Web site.
You can also read U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) Sec. Shaun Donovan's complete keynote on the site, as well as listen to streaming audio of Governor-elect Peter Shumlin's noontime address.
We'll be passing along a link to streaming video of Sec. Donovan's keynote soon.

Housing conference swag spotted it Italy
Thanks to National Low Income Housing Coalition Executive Director Sheila Crowley for passing along this photo of her in Bellagio, Italy, where she spent a recent sabbatical courtesy of the Rockerfeller Foundation.
She writes, "Of all the conference bags I have gotten over the years, the one I like and use the most is the one from the Vermont Housing Conference in 2004."
You can catch Sheila speaking at tomorrow's conference as part of the "Federal Housing Policy" workshop.
