There’s still time to help the annual VHFA mitten drive reach its goal. This year, mittens and gloves carefully stuffed with holiday candy by VHFA staff will be donated to Burlington's Women Helping Battered Women office.
“Our ‘mitten stuffing’ drive has been a holiday tradition at VHFA for many years,” according to Executive Director Sarah Carpenter. “This year, we thought we’d step up our goal since Women Helping Battered Women expects to see at least 300 children this month,” she continued.
There are two ways the greater community can help. For every new “like” of the Agency’s Facebook page before Monday, December 16, VHFA will donate a pair of mittens or gloves.
Due to the high number of mittens and gloves needed this year, VHFA is also inviting community members to directly donate new mittens and gloves at its office on the corner of King and St. Paul Streets in Burlington any time before Monday, December 16.
