VHFA is pleased to announced the following staff promotions and new hire.
Sara Everest has been promoted to Web Development and IT Solutions Manager. Sara will oversee all web-related strategic planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance for the Agency’s vhfa.org and housingdata.org websites as well as internal, partner, and collaborative sites. Sara’s work across departments will ensure innovative and effective digital solutions that align with mission, objectives and systems at VHFA. Sara has worked for VHFA since 2013 and is an active member of several internal teams. She was a member of the Leadership Champlain class of 2023.
Mike McCarthy has been promoted to the role of Community Development Underwriter. In this position, Mike will work as a member of the underwriting team which evaluates proposed housing development through a variety of programs. Mike joined VHFA in early 2024 as a Staff Accountant handling accounts payable activities. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut and is currently pursuing a graduate certificate in Real Estate Development Finance from the University of Arizona.
Jordan Tamba has joined VHFA as an IT Support Specialist. Jordan has a strong background in software development and infrastructure automation. He holds a number of IT certifications and possesses years of IT support experience and most recently completed a Back End DevOps bootcamp. Prior to coming to VHFA, Jordan worked at Franklin West Supervisory Union School District as a Technical Support Specialist.
