Terry McNight, long-time Executive Director of the Addison County Community Trust (ACCT), suffered a fatal heart attack on Saturday. Viewing and visiting hours will be on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 4 to 7 PM, with a prayer service and time for sharing of memories at 6:30 pm at Ready Funeral & Cremation Service South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Shelburne at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, with burial to follow in Shelburne Village Cemetery.
During Terry’s 12-year tenure as its Executive Director, ACCT grew to overseeing 650 of the region’s rental and owner homes. Among his many recent achievements are preserving affordable homes in Vaughan’s mobile home park in Monkton, managing 200 affordable apartments, making more than 50 single-family homes and condos permanently affordable and developing new affordable owner and rental housing at Middlebury South Village and Stone Hill apartments.
Terry will be deeply missed by those of us fortunate enough to have worked with him. Read more.
