The ECOS (Environment, Community, Opportunity, & Sustainability) Project (www.ecosproject.com) includes municipalities, the State and a large number of organizations working to improve our community’s most important planning documents and implement the highest priority actions. The first phase of the ECOS Project is to review and improve the draft goals. Please visit http://ecosproject.com/goals to read more and submit comments on the goals.
The ECOS project will improve Chittenden County’s long-term sustainability by addressing housing, transportation, economy, energy, environment, and society. Residents are encouraged to participate in the project to provide the ideas and actions that will help shape the future of the region. The project is funded in part by a $1 million federal grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) won by the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC).
