Staff from VHFA and other housing organizations celebrated the grand opening of Village Housing, a new 30-unit building housing families in Middlebury.
Village Housing was developed by Housing Vermont; Addison County Community Trust; and HOPE, formerly known as Addison County Community Action Group.
In addition to Tax Credits, state credits, and construction and permanent financing from VHFA, the project received funding from VHCB, HOME, VCLT, NeighborWorks® and VCDP.
The project also received a price concession on the land from Middlebury College.
Village Housing is one component of a larger smart growth community that includes Middlebury Cottages, an affordable single-family home development, as well as high-end market rate housing and commercial lots.
