A planning retreat held for Chittenden County's ECHO Project will air on cable access around the county this month and next.
The project's an opportunity to engage citizens, organizations and municipalities in conversation about the future of our communities and the region.
Funded with a $1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development Sustainable Communities Project, and co-sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Transportation, the two-year project's designed to support efforts to plan and implement regional sustainable community development initiatives.
It'll also provide the basis for updating the Chittenden County Regional Plan, the Chittenden County Metropolitan Planning Organization’s Plan, the Burlington Legacy Project Plan and the County’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy.
The retreat will air on Channel 17/CCTV on Comcast Cable and Burlington Telecom systems serving the communities of Burlington, South Burlington, Essex, Essex Junction, Winooski, Williston, St. George, and parts of Colchester:
- Monday, May 30 – 5:45 p.m.
- Wednesday, June 1 – 10 p.m.
- Thursday, June 2 – 3 a.m.
- Thursday, June 2 – 9 a.m.
The retreat will also air on Channel 17 Vermont Community Access Media Inc. (VCAM), Channel 15 Mount Mansfield Community Television and Channel 16 Lake Champlain Access Television.
