Housing Hero

Since 2002, Vermont's Statewide Housing Conference has celebrated the achievements and service of individuals by recognizing them through the Housing Hero Award.

The Conference Steering Committee is seeking nominations of individuals whose leadership, vision and actions have brought about positive and lasting change in the way their community or the state regards housing. Nominations are due by October 9th.

Nominees should exemplify:

  • Commitment to expanding opportunities for fair, decent, safe and affordable housing for all Vermonters
  • Demonstrated leadership and have an impact within their community or across the state
  • Commitment to public service in Vermont
  • Shared vision to address the housing challenges and create innovative solutions
  • The ability to bring Vermonters together towards our shared housing goals 

Prior Housing Heroes include Julie Bond and Rick DeAngelis (Good Samaritan Haven), Kathy Beyer (Evernorth), Gisele Kloeckner (TD Bank) and Hilary Melton (Pathways Vermont).  

Who are you nominating as a Housing Hero?
