The Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA) Board of Commissioners has awarded tax credits which will generate $28 million for developing 241 apartments.  These homes will serve low-income renters in seven communities across the state. 

VHFA is currently looking to fill the position of Staff Accountant. This role is responsible for the Agency's accounts payable and daily cash receipts functions and participates in monthly/quarterly closing activities.

Planning for the 2026 Statewide Housing Conference on November 18^th is underway and returning and new sponsors are invited to show their support for affordable housing by registering as a conference sponsor. 

Instead of being driven by population growth, Vermont’s housing shortage is mostly fueled by shrinking household sizes (fewer people living in each home).
