Groundbreaking for the first phase of an exciting new mixed-income development on Seminary Street in Middlebury, VT, happened February 3rd. Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA) was a key funder for the project along with National Bank of Middlebury, Middlebury College and Porter Hospital. Supporters at Monday’s groundbreaking also included Senator Peter Welch and developer Summit Properties.
Krista Malaney joins VHFA as the new Public Relations Manager
Krista Malaney of North Ferrisburgh has joined VHFA as the new Public Relations Manager. She comes to VHFA from a year as the Executive Director of Homeward Bound, Addison County's Humane Society. Previous to that, she was the Strategic Communications Manager at UVM in HR, Diversity and Multicultural Affairs for eight years.
VHFA releases second draft of 2026-2027 QAP and seeks comment
On Monday, Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA) released the second draft of the 2026-2027 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP), which guides the Agency in making housing tax credit allocation decisions. Materials about the QAP update, including the full second draft of the 2026-2027 QAP, a memo that summarizes changes in this draft, and the current 2024-2025 QAP, are available on the VHFA website.
