On June 23rd, the Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA) Board of Commissioners awarded Vermont State Affordable Housing Tax Credits for 78 rental homes across the state. Sixty-nine existing apartments in Bennington, Brandon, Fairlee and St. Johnsbury will be renovated, and nine new apartments created in Fairlee.

The addition of 24 new and affordable apartments comes after two years of planning and waiting according to stakeholders who gathered for the community event.
