Four million more home mortgages nationwide would have been made between 2009 and 2013 if credit standards had been similar to 2001 levels, according to a new report from the Urban Institute.
This April, artists and activists kick off a collective effort to honor and promote the importance of fair housing and inclusive neighborhoods through a series of creative workshops, events, art exhibits and panel discussions happening throughout Burlington. Vermont State Housing Authority (VSHA) is seeking proposals, on behalf of the Vermont Coalition to End Homelessness (VCEH), from qualified applications to become the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) Lead Agency to serve the Vermont Balance of State Continuum of Care geographic area. Homeless services, emergency assistance and local government agencies use HMIS to collect demographic and service information about homeless and formerly homeless households who seek and obtain services.
