The Vermont Homeowner Assistance Program (VHAP) has updated its program terms to allow homeowners that previously received grants from the program to apply again for additional assistance, and has increased the total amount available to households to $40,000.

Alexis Carpenter (she/her) of Morgan has joined VHFA in the role of Director of Human Resources and Administration. 

Carpenter has nine years of experience working for RDI Corporation in Newport in a series of progressively more advanced roles, most recently as Director of Site Operations. She is also the founder and CEO of Raising Hope, LLC, specializing in organizational culture design and team development.  

If you are one of the many Vermonters whose home was damaged by flooding earlier this month, public resources for temporary housing and home repair may already be available. 

Faced with housing problems only made worse by recent disastrous floods, Vermonters will have an opportunity to learn more and discuss causes of homelessness with state and national housing experts on Monday, July 24, at noon. The virtual policy forum will feature University of Washington Professor Gregg Colburn, author of the recently published book Homelessness is a Housing Problem.
