The Vermont Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), AARP-VT, and the Congress for New Urbanism will host a series of free webinars on zoning changes for community development on Tuesday, January 26 from 1:00 to 2:00 and Thursday, January 28 from 1:00 to 2:30.

Over the past 30 years, over 6,300 refugees have settled in Vermont. As newly arrived immigrants, the process of resettling can come with some challenges. According to a recent report by VHFA, immigrants and refugees face many unique barriers to housing in Vermont.  

Along with unprecedented challenges, 2020 has brought a new level of gratitude for the people and organizations that comprise Vermont’s affordable housing community.  In a “normal year,” we would  gather together this week at the biennial Vermont Statewide Housing Conference.
