The Vermont chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA-VT) and the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI-VT), will host a design charrette session for Vermont communities on May 9, 2025. The charrette is designed to help communities that would benefit from pro bono input from architects, especially areas that have been hard-hit by flooding events in recent years, or in anticipation for other impacts of climate change.

Affordable housing partners break ground on mixed income housing project in Middlebury, VT
Groundbreaking for the first phase of an exciting new mixed-income development on Seminary Street in Middlebury, VT, happened February 3rd. Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA) was a key funder for the project along with National Bank of Middlebury, Middlebury College and Porter Hospital. Supporters at Monday’s groundbreaking also included Senator Peter Welch and developer Summit Properties.

Celebrating 50 years of impactful partnerships

At an evening gathering at HULA in Burlington on Lake Champlain, VHFA Board of Commissioners chair Katie Buckley thanked the mortgage lenders, housing developers, lawmakers, state agency partners, financial institutions and advocates needed for VHFA to carry out it's mission.

QAP meeting in St. Johnsbury postponed to August 8
As communities continue to grapple with last week’s severe storm, VHFA is postponing our Qualified Allocation Plan outreach meeting scheduled for July 18th in St. Johnsbury.
