April is Fair Housing Month, an opportunity to celebrate the anniversary of the passage of the 1968 Federal Fair Housing Act, while increasing our efforts to end housing discrimination and raise awareness of housing rights.

Vermont Congressman Peter Welch will host a virtual meeting on Wednesday, April 7 at 11:00 AM to discuss federal pandemic relief funding and new programs to address Vermont's housing needs. Housing stakeholders are encouraged to attend.

Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA) is in the process of updating the Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) for 2022 to 2023. The Agency sought initial public comment on the plan in February.

Vermont Legal Aid will host a free, 30-minute virtual town hall on Thursday, July 23 at 10 a.m. It will discuss the new financial help homeowners affected by COVID-19 can receive through the Vermont Mortgage Assistance Program as well as other programs for homeowners who may be facing foreclosure.
