Garth Rieman is Director of Housing Advocacy and Strategic Initiatives for the National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA). He manages NCSHA's legislative and regulatory work on the Low Income Housing Tax Credit; tax-exempt housing bonds; Section 8; the HOME program; FHA, HUD and USDA appropriations; the GSEs, and rural housing.
He previously served as a professional staff member and Republican staff director for the U.S. Senate Housing Subcommittee. He also worked at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the National Association of REALTORS, and the U.S. Office of Management and Budget.
Garth graduated from Pomona College and received a Masters Degree in Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
He'll be presenting at the conference as part of the Federal Housing Policy workshop.
