No one works in Vermont's housing community too long without coming across Erhard Mahnke. Erhard's worked in housing, community development and municipal government in the greater Burlington area for more than two decades.
Since 1997 he's served as Coordinator for the Vermont Affordable Housing Coalition, a statewide membership organization advocating for the affordable housing needs of all Vermonters.
His work for the Coalition includes representing the interests of Vermont's affordable housing community at the Statehouse in Montpelier, where he also lobbies for the City of Burlington.
Before his work with the Coalition, Erhard served as director of the Champlain Valley Mutual Housing Federation, a non-profit devoted to organizing, developing and supporting resident-controlled, limited equity housing cooperatives in and around Burlington.
Erhard will be presenting at the conference as part of the Housing 101 workshops.
