2024 Vermont Statewide Housing Conference Speaker

David Riegel is the Director of Housing Policy and Planning for the Agency of Human Services. He is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in customer service, housing policy, and organizational leadership. Currently serving as the Director of Housing Policy and Planning for the State of Vermont’s Agency of Human Services, he oversees the development and implementation of statewide housing initiatives to support people experiencing homelessness and other vulnerable populations. Previously, as Associate Director of Hotel Operations at Champlain Housing Trust, David led hotel operations, managed teams, and fostered community partnerships to address housing needs. He also brings extensive operational management experience from JetBlue Airways, where he led airport and ground operations. His strengths in strategic thinking, policy advocacy, and team leadership position him as a valuable asset in the housing and human services sector.
