Sofia Benito Alston is the Flood Recovery Assistance Specialist for the Mobile Home Program of Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO). With over 3 years of combined environmental and housing work, Sofia is interested in the intersection between environmental conservation and affordable housing availability and has played an important role in advocating for improvements of safety to mobile home residents placed in floodplains as well as pushing for the construction and relocation of parks to safer regions in the state. She can most often be found outside kayaking, hiking or climbing.
