This in-person conference, held every two years the week after the national election, is Vermont's largest convening of affordable housing professionals and advocates. Drawing 400-500 attendees in recent years, it has become a much anticipated opportunity to network, learn and act.  

Catherine Lange (she/her) of Burlington has joined VHFA in the role of Multi-Family Building & Design Analyst.

Lange recently graduated from UVM with an MBA in Sustainable Innovation. She previously worked as an Associate Principal for Freeman French Freeman Architecture and an Architectural Designer for Scott + Partner Architects. She is an Architect with LEED AP Building Design + Construction certification and has extensive experience working on projects in Vermont, including some VHFA-financed projects!

VHFA’s Development Department is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Community Housing Accelerator (CHA), a new program that will provide low-interest loans to developers of middle-income rental housing with 4-20 units.

The schedule for CHA is as follows:

Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA) announced that it has received $4.5 million for affordable housing through its third federal Capital Magnet Fund award. The funds will be invested in VHFA’s Housing Investments for Vermont (HIVE) Fund, which has now raised over $20 million from private and public investments. The new award will support the development and preservation of over 240 permanently affordable apartments for Vermonters.
