Addie Lentzner has been named the Fall 2024 Vermont Housing Fellow. The Vermont Housing Fellowship program is intended to provide the Fellow with valuable experience aiding her professional development. Ms. Lentzner will help prepare for the upcoming statewide housing conference and improve the Housing-Ready Toolbox on housingdata.org.

The 2024 Statewide Housing Conference Planning Committee has been working hard to organize our biennial conference, which will take place on November 14th in South Burlington. This is an event you won’t want to miss – and registration is now open!
This statewide conference will highlight workshops such as “Intro to Energy Justice in Housing”, “Affordable Housing for Vermont’s Farmworkers”, and “Ensuring Shelter When There Are No Homes”. Also included will be a BIPOC Focus Group and spaces for networking and connecting.

Vermont's 2025-2029 Housing Needs Assessment Completed
Last week the Vermont Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) announced the publication of the Vermont 2025-2029 Statewide Housing Needs Assessment, a five-year document the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires from government entities that receive federal funding. The findings in the report show Vermont’s statewide housing shortage remains and the affordability gap is growing as costs stretch Vermonters’ budgets thin.
