Applications are now open for nominating the 2024 Housing Hero. Recipients will be announced at this year’s Statewide Housing Conference on November 14 in South Burlington. You can submit nominations for the 2024 Housing Hero by completing this short nomination form. Submissions are due by Noon on November 7.
Since 2002, the Housing Hero award has recognized individuals whose leadership, vision and actions have brought about positive and lasting change in meeting Vermont’s housing needs. Nominees can be individuals or a group and should exemplify a commitment to expanding opportunities for fair, decent, safe and affordable housing for all Vermonters. Additionally, we seek nominees who:

Demonstrate leadership and have an impact within their community or across the state

Committed to public service in Vermont

Share a vision to address the housing challenges and create innovative solutions

Have the ability to bring Vermonters together towards our shared housing goals
Previous winners include Kathy Beyer, Gisele Kloeckner, Hilary Melton, Governor Madeleine Kunin, Melinda Bussino, Shaun Gilpin, Michael Richardson, and the NeighborWorks HomeOwnership Centers of Vermont.
