The food drive held at yesterday's Vermont Statewide Housing Conference yielded 384 pounds of donated goods.
With additional cash contributions converted to pounds, we actually collected the equivalent of 492 pounds.

Yesterday's Vermont Statewide Housing Conference received a good deal of media attention.
WPTZ-TV Channel 5 and Fox44 sent reporters and aired stories. A Burlington Free Press reporter also attended. WCAX-TV Channel 3 spoke with VHFA Executive Director Sarah Carpenter earlier in the week on the station's "The :30" program. The Free Press and Rutland Herald/Times Argus also ran stories ahead of the event.

As expected, we broke the previous attendance record for the Vermont Statewide Housing Conference yesterday. Four-hundred eighty people attended the event yesterday, breaking the previous record of 450 set in 2006.
