VHFA is excited to announce that Jeanne Morrissey has joined its governing board of commissioners.  Governor Shumlin appointed Morrissey, a long-time Vermont builder, to the board in June. 

Traveler and author Jan Reynolds visited the Highgate apartment community in Barre this week, thanks to the Children's Literacy Foundation. She described her recent trip to the Himalayan mountains including what it's like to fly in a hot air balloon over Mt. Everest and ski off a 14,000 foot mountain!

Driven by rising home prices and growing demand, the U.S. housing recovery is well underway, concludes The State of the Nation’s Housing report released today by the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University. While still at historically low levels, housing construction finally turned the corner, giving the economy a much-needed boost.
