The home repair for women workshop conducted by Champlain Housing Trust (CHT) last week was highly-rated by those who attended, who ranked it 4.9 on a 1-to-5 scale.
Attendees received information about homes, systems, and tools; and participated in a hands-on workshop to learn how to fix sheetrock and install lighting fixtures.
VHFA Executive Director Sarah Carpenter appeared last night in a segment on WCAX-TV Channel 3 about Wharf Lane Apartments in Burlington.
The 37-unit affordable housing complex is home to 46 people. It might lose its affordable designation if the owner sells the property.

A user named "Wharf Lane Residents" has created a petition at Web site Care2 to encourage the owners of Wharf Lane Apartments in Burlington to keep the property affordable.
