The address is the location of a new affordable home made possible by the Vermont Housing Acquisition & Rehabilitation Program (HARP), funded by the Neighborhood Stabilization Program.

VHFA Chief of Program Operations David Adams will be joined by Central Vermont Community Land Trust (CVCLT) Executive Director Eileen Peltier and Vermont's Community Development Program Grants Management Director Ann Karlene-Kroll at an open house/press event today to celebrate another success of the Housing Acquisition & Rehabilitation Program (HARP).

At 3 this afternoon, we'll be unveiling a super-insulated, low-cost, sustainable new home at 8 Short Street, Barre Town, made possible by the HARP.

We received word this afternoon that Realtors who attend three specific workshops at the Nov. 18 Vermont Statewide Housing Conference, along with the morning's keynote address by HUD Sec. Shaun Donovan, will earn five (5) continuing education credits.

To earn the credit, Realtors should attend: "Impacts of Mortgage Lending Changes," "Foreclosing on Vermont," and "Lending on Non-Single Family Home," along with the keynote.

Registrations for the Nov. 18 Vermont Statewide Housing Conference have been rolling in fast since news broke this week Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development Shaun Donovan will deliver our keynote.

Today had been the deadline to register, but we now plan on keeping registration open a little longer until we reach our capacity of 450.
