The Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program  serves a significant number of the nation's extremely low-income households, perhaps more so than members of the affordable housing field had anticipated, concluded NYU’s Furman Center for Real Estate and Urban Policy in a report released last week.

In light of the storm forecast for next week, owners and managers of Vermont's subsidized rental housing are encouraged to be sure that all vacancies are listed in the Vermont Directory of Affordable Rental Housing. 

The Vermont Council on Homelessness has been working on writing a new Plan to End Homelessness and just released a draft for public comment. This draft will be discussed at the next Council meeting on Thursday, October 25th where VHFA's Policy and Planning Manager Maura Collins will be discussing the document.
