The median price of primary homes sold in Vermont in January through June was $197,800—up slightly from $195,000 in 2011, according to VHFA’s recent analysis of Vermont property transfer tax data.
The number of sales also inched upward. About 300 more homes were sold during the first six months of 2012 than during the first half of 2011. Chittenden, Essex, Franklin, Grand Isle, Orange, and Windsor counties have all enjoyed a faster home sales pace in 2012 than in 2011.
