Tickets for HomeShare Vermont's annual fundraiser, "A Taste of Home," are on sale now.

The event, scheduled for Friday, May 29, 5-8 p.m., is an evening of local food and entertainment all to benefit HomeShare Vermont of South Burlington.

Montpelier Affordable Housing Week runs April 19-25.

Organizers of the week-long celebration hope to bring awareness to residents of what they can do to help make sure everyone who calls Montpelier home has a home they can afford.

Champlain Housing Trust (CHT) and King Street Housing celebrate their grand opening this Saturday starting at 10 a.m.

The newly completed building at 88 King Street in Burlington is the new headquarters of CHT. The green building was developed by CHT and Housing Vermont and is also home to 20 apartments.

Eastview at Middlebury, a new non-profit retirement community planned for Addison County, is holding two informational meetings this spring.

The event was held at North Branch Apartments in Montpelier and was attended by about 20 people.

VHFA is co-sponsoring a free screening of "Communities & Consequences," an award-winning documentary by Jay Childs.

The film explores the effects of the "graying" demographic of New Hampshire's upper valley, and how an increasingly unbalanced generational mix is affecting life in the state.
