Efficiency Vermont has launched a new grant program for non-profit organizations that serve low-income Vermonters. The Community Energy Partnership Grant Program will enable to Vermont non-profits to provide energy saving products and assistance to their clients, in addition to the many other services they offer.

“Low-income Vermonters spend a larger percentage of their incomes on energy than anyone else in the state does,” said Jim Merriam, Director of Efficiency Vermont, the statewide energy efficiency utility. “We look forward to teaming up with Vermont nonprofits to help ease that burden.”

Efficiency Vermont invites non-profits serving low-income Vermonters to submit proposals specifying ways they would use the funding to help their clients save energy.
