Richmond Terrace, a 16-unit affordable rental housing complex for seniors, was awarded the Major Renovation Honor award from Efficiency Vermont last week. The complex underwent a deep energy retrofit and capital improvement program in 2014.

Federal housing tax credits help create new affordable apartments in Shelburne
The 78 recently-completed apartments at the Harrington Village and Wright House developments in Shelburne will help area households keep their housing costs affordable. Funded largely through housing tax credits provided by VHFA, the apartments are a much-needed addition to the area’s tight rental housing stock.
Groundbreaking set for new apartments at Waterbury state office complex
Mark your calendars for the groundbreaking celebration for South Main Apartments (formerly the state office complex's Ladd Hall) in Waterbury. Senator Patrick Leahy will join developers Central Vermont Community Land Trust and Housing Vermont as the community gathers to kick off the redevelopment of this historic building after the disrepair caused by Tropical Storm Irene.
Vermont Residential and Commercial Energy Code under revision
The Vermont Department of Public Service is currently in the process of working with stakeholders to update the Vermont Residential and Commercial Energy Code. An updated version of the proposed Code will be made available soon.
There will be a public meeting held in September with an additional comment period of three weeks for those who wish to provide further input into the process based upon the revised draft.
Welch champions legislation to strengthen Housing Credit program
