Kelly Hamshaw is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Community Development and Applied Economics at the University of Vermont (UVM), teaching courses focused on housing, resilience, and rural communities. She also holds an appointment as a Research Specialist in the UVM Center for Rural Studies where she contributes to a variety of research and evaluation projects in Vermont and beyond. Dr. Hamshaw has been engaged in research and outreach with manufactured housing communities in Vermont since 2007, specifically focused on flood risk, disaster recovery, and climate resilience. She recently earned her PhD in Natural Resources from the University of Vermont, investigating climate justice and manufactured housing communities in northern New England.
