The VHFA Board of Commissioners today formally recognized the contributions of Public Affairs Manager John Fairbanks and General Counsel Elizabeth Mullikin-Drake.

John and Elizabeth are both completing their tenures at the Agency this month, after several years of service.

The Board passed two resolutions at its monthly meeting held in Montpelier this morning.

John's resolution reads, in part:

A recent study evaluated the level of satisfaction among property managers with the provision of service coordination that links residents of HUD-assisted, multifamily housing to needed supportive services.

This morning's Burlington Free Press includes an opinion piece by Burlington attorney L. Randolph Amis.

Published as a follow-up to our recent release of "Between a Rock and a Hard Place: Housing and Wages in Vermont," he writes:

"I fear that soon the authors may need to change the title to 'Between a Rock and No Place' as more and more Vermonters are unable to find safe and secure housing."

VHFA received the President's Award from the United Way of Chittenden County.

Executive Director Sarah Carpenter accepted the award on behalf of the Agency at Wednesday night's United Way of Chittenden County Annual Meeting at the Sheraton Burlington Hotel and Conference Center in South Burlington.
