Seth Leonard of Winooski has joined VHFA as Homeownership Outreach Coordinator.  He will be responsible for education and training, marketing of VHFA mortgage programs and program development.

Seth comes to VHFA after four years with Opportunities Credit Union where he was a Branch Manager, responsible for mortgage and consumer lending and marketing.

The Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission's survey of residents' attitudes toward transportation showed that residents are changing the way they rate the location of their homes relative to work and other destinations.  The survey is conducted every six years.   

VHFA staff have a long tradition of including families served by the Lund Center on their holiday shopping list.   This year was no different,  as coordinator Josh Slade delivered boxes of new toys, clothes, books, household items, and gift cards to Lund today. 

The Canal and Main building in Brattleboro combines commercial space for the Brattleboro Food Co-op on its lower floors with affordable and market rate rental housing above.  The synergy this project  generated for the city’s downtown was recognized yesterday in Washington, DC when EPA awarded Vermont housing officials the 2012 Smart Growth National Achievement Award for Main Street or Corridor Revitalization.
