Next week, the U.S. Census Bureau will release the most detailed information available so far from the 2010 Census, including tables on age, sex, households, families, relationship to householder, characteristics of owners and renters, and race and Hispanic or Latino origin groups. The information will be available for a variety of geographic areas, with most tables available down to the neighborhood block or census tract level.
Affordable housing adds to vitality of St. Albans
We couldn't help but notice reference to a couple VHFA housing projects in this weekend's Burlington Free Press story exploring St. Alban's new Census numbers.
The article talks about the 1880s Willard Mill Apartments building (pictured), converted from a brownfield site to 27 units of mostly affordable housing with VHFA's assistance in 2008.
The historic Waugh Opera House is also mentioned in the article.
Homelessness on Channel 3
WCAX-TV Channel 3 aired a story last week about the challenges Vermont's homeless encounter when seeking help.
