The Vermont Affordable Housing Coalition is seeking to raise $1,500 for its "Save Our Homes" campaign aimed at encouraging the Vermont Legislature to adopt affordable housing preservation legislation.

The funds will go toward producing an information piece in support of a Town Meeting Day ballot item for Burlington voters to send the word to the Statehouse.

The Vermont Department of Economic, Housing and Community Development (DEHCD) will hold a public hearing regarding the third phase of the Neighborhood Stabilization Program.

The hearing will be tomorrow from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Calvin Coolidge Conference Room, National Life Building, 1 National Life Drive in Montpelier.

Vermont Public Radio (VPR) has put online yesterday's "Vermont Edition" program covering the topic of subsidized housing units in Vermont at risk of expiring.

VHFA Executive Sarah Carpenter was a guest on the show.

The station's also put online a story reported by "Vermont Edition" Producer Patti Daniels and culled from yesterday's program.

VHFA has listed for sale a home at 51 Water St., Orleans. The price for the three-bedroom, two-bath house is $89,000, after a $20,000 grant.
