Gov. Jim Douglas joined housing representatives, residents, local and state officials in cutting the ribbon on Meadowlane Apartments in Milton yesterday.
The project, originally built in 1980, includes 20 newly-renovated units and an additional 16 units of new affordable housing.
The former S.W. Thayer School on North Avenue in Burlington will be redeveloped to include affordable housing.
Cathedral Square Corp. (CSC) purchased the property from the State of Vermont yesterday. CSC will redevelop it in conjunction with Champlain Housing Trust and EF Farrell.
