A new report from Children's HealthWatch in Boston indicates children living in subsidized housing are less likely to be hungry.
The report, "Rx for Hunger: Affordable Housing," is covered in a short article in this month's issue of Affordable Housing Finance magazine.
"The study makes the case that food-assistance programs alone cannot address childhood hunger," the article states. "Affordable housing is part of the solution."
Thanks to attorneys Gensburg, Atwell & Broderick for signing on as the latest sponsor of the 2010 Vermont Statewide Housing Conference.
Vermont affordable housing advocates, including VHFA Executive Director Sarah Carpenter, are testifying to the House Ways and Means Committee today.
