We've made available some materials from yesterday's Vermont Statewide Housing Conference.

The Vermont Statewide Housing Conference was the subject of a feature story in this Monday's Business Monday section of The Burlington Free Press.

Another speaker has confirmed for tomorrow's Vermont Statewide Housing Conference: Governor-elect Peter Shumlin will address the attendees during the noon hour.

Shumlin will speak from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m., and take questions from the audience.

VHFA Executive Director Sarah Carpenter appeared on WCAX-TV Channel 3 yesterday, to talk about affordable housing in Vermont and tomorrow's Vermont Statewide Housing Conference on the station's "The :30" program.

Heads-up that we've adjusted the time of the welcome/keynote session for this Thursday's Vermont Statewide Housing Conference.

Registration will now run from 8 to 8:45 am, with the welcome/keynote session starting at 8:45.

We received word this afternoon that Realtors who attend three specific workshops at the Nov. 18 Vermont Statewide Housing Conference, along with the morning's keynote address by HUD Sec. Shaun Donovan, will earn five (5) continuing education credits.

To earn the credit, Realtors should attend: "Impacts of Mortgage Lending Changes," "Foreclosing on Vermont," and "Lending on Non-Single Family Home," along with the keynote.

Registrations for the Nov. 18 Vermont Statewide Housing Conference have been rolling in fast since news broke this week Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development Shaun Donovan will deliver our keynote.

We'll be accepting nominations for the 2010 Housing Hero award only through tomorrow.
