A consortium of federal agencies recently released a guide entitled New Federal Resources for Sustainable Rural Communities.
At a January audit of VHFA by the US Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD), HUD Manchester (NH) Multifamily Program Center Acting Director Mark Seltzer, when he learned about VHFA’s two work days in the Waterbury area for Irene recovery, suggested that HUD and VHFA hold a joint work day … so we did!

Representatives from the Vermont Department of Economic, Housing, and Community Development answered questions from Windham county residents and business owners last night at the Latchis Theater in Brattleboro. This meeting marked the first of three public hearings on the state's plan to distribute $21.7 million in federal Community Development Block Grant disaster recovery funds.
We expect that five Vermont housing Web sites — Vermont Housing Data, the Vermont Housing Managers Association's site, Vermont Rental Codes, the Vermont Resident Services Coordinators site, and the Vermont Housing Awareness site-- might be occasionally offline this week.
