Vermont Coalition to End Homelessness - Point In Time Count Training
The next Point-In-Time (PIT) count of Vermont’s homeless population is taking place later this month on January 29-30, 2014. The PIT count allows local communities and state policy makers to understand current problems of homelessness, target limited funding to appropriate housing and services, and track progress.
Vermont manufactured home loan program in the news
Demand is growing for a year-old program that helps Vermonters who lack resources buy mobile homes, reported VPR recently. The program was developed through a partnership between VHFA, Champlain Housing Trust, the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development and the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board.
VT Council on Homelessness needs input from housing providers, clients, and tenants
In December of 2012, the Vermont Council on Homelessness approved Vermont’s Plan to End Homelessness. To make progress on the plan’s goal of expanding the capacity of programs to provide voluntary supportive servicese once households move into permanent housing, the Council is collecting information through on-line surveys from housing providers, clients, and tenants.
