Senator Patrick Leahy joined Governor Phil Scott, VHFA Deputy Director Maura Collins, and many supporters in Montpelier on Tuesday to celebrate the groundbreaking of the 1 Taylor Street affordable housing project. The project, sponsored by Housing Vermont and Downstreet Housing & Community Development, will create 19 affordable apartments for low-income Vermonters as part of a 30 unit development incorporating a new city transit center.

Children's Literacy Foundation has opportunities for rental housing and other service providers
The At-Risk Children grant is open to social service providers, community centers, afterschool programs, refugee services organizations, shelters, low income housing programs, Head Start programs, early childhood education programs, and a wide range other groups throughout Vermont and New Hampshire that serve low-income or at-risk infants and children up to age 12 (or a portion of that age range).

The Common Rental Application for Housing in Vermont has been revised based on feedback from housing managers, applicant experiences and the state’s evolving information needs. The revised application was announced by Executive Director Sarah Carpenter last week at the annual conference of the Vermont Housing Managers Association.
As part of the Multifamily for Tomorrow Transformation, HUD’s Boston Satellite Office and the Northeast Region now have designated Grants Specialists overseeing HUD grant programs. In order to get acquainted with their valued customers and address questions, HUD invites program participants in the New England states to a Huddle with Grantees.
